Visiting a farm in attempt to get a job

Hello mate, just wondering how the jobs going.
I don't work there anymore due to living in at college down Wiltshire, but worked up until I had to move into college and he offered me chance to go back next year for the 3 months I have off. I got on with everyone really well there and it was a pleasure. I enjoyed it and learnt loads there as well as making money. It has also helped me at college due to having that bit of farm experience. I worked hard there and it paid off as I started getting better jobs moving on to more tractor work and jobs with more responsibility and being left alone to get on with jobs. If I go back this summer I will even better off as I will have a license and have a loads more experience as the college I chosen to go to it is only one of the few that doesn't get contractors in so we do everything, it was the best summer of my life and can't thank him enough for giving me a chance.

Couldnt agree more but why do you only read of such keen youngsters further up country and never down here in one of the most intense dairy pools where we could really do with them?!

I dont know what its like in your area, but back home in ni young boys only seem interested in driving tractors, theyl work for contractors getting paid peanuts and likely to be dropped like a stone at any time, rather than work for a farmer. Yes theyl work harder and probably still be paid peanuts but better chance of getting a more rounded experience. I know this because ive done both!
