VW Amarok - hardtop options?

Anyone with an Amarok got a recommendation for the best hardtop? Not for sheep or anything, just general use on an arable farm and no doubt, dogs!

Looking at one from Hardtops UK.com at present but I would like one with a more vertical back window if I could find one, most are very curved and reduce the usable space for a pallet etc.

Go for a Gamic with a decent back door and take the tailgate off so the dogs legs are safe. You can have lockable side hatches and an internal forward shelf if this helps too

I have a 2018 Amarok and put on a truckman canopy with gull wing style (lockable) opening side windows. It leaks like a seive through the holes for the roof bars. Side access handy for me but I keep scalping myself on the side and back doors (I'm 6'4"). Don't think I'd buy it again!

4x4 specialist up near Beadle on the side of the a1. Their tops are super. Double skin fibre glass so no condensation. Good match on colour.

Got a 2015 with a truckman hard top with side opening flaps never been any bother, it's the one that's higher than the cab roof & plenty of room unlike the truck itself it's had almost a rebuilt engine, a rebuilt gearbox & new clutch, changing it this year for a ford ranger but will still be having a truckman hard top but an added extra of puddle lights so you can see when you step out when it's dark.

I guessed that, although it would be handy to re-enforce your former dairy farmer credentials and great safe transport for gundogs

I like that the Gamic one you have JP, has teh front hoop set back from the cab. It's much better that the Gamic one on my Ranger that rattles on the glass!! I have to pull the top back and rivet it to the bed to keep it quiet!

I do like that Gamic will modify and alter their bvase units or do one-offs. Good engineers.
