Wanted ex Caged Hens or just any Hens

I have heard that a lot of poultry farms gets rid of their birds after only a year. In the past we have gotten some cheap or free so if anyone knows anywhere near North Bedfordshire. Looking for about 10-20.

British Hen Welfare Trust always have chickens available for rehoming. Fairly sure they have depots across most of England and a head office in Devon

Also worth trying to acquire a couple of older hens too, if the hens you get don’t know how to scratch about for worms etc (they might not have been free range).
