I have seen it said a few times to wash out the vacuum line, it can help with thermoduric test results.

Is it just pull a bucket of detergent mix through it and switch off the machine allow the water to drain from the water traps and repeat ?

Put a bucket of hypo and water through and it will collect in the trap before the vacumn pumps. Switch of and let drain. A swing over parlour with only have 1 length of line, ours is a doubled up so it is a loop round the pit. There is a tap to switch of to close the loop so the water goes one way round. Don't put a bigger bucket of water through than what your trap will hold.

We always used to flush once a month with boiling water and milkstone remover. Turn off all electric pulsators, draw approx 40 litres into airline through taps for dump bucket, create a surge effect by drawing up air and liquid alternately for 2-3 secs. Switch off and repeat with just boiling water before pm milking and finally with cold clean water.as said don't over get the sanitary trap
