Washing liquid/powder allergy

Just wondering if anyone else has recently had an allergic reaction to their washing liquid? I had a sudden and severe uticaria (nettle sting) rash over the weekend as a result of washing clothes using liquid from a new bottle of Fairy Non Bio Liquid Gel.
Never had a reaction to anything before. Been using the same product for several years but did notice the cap colour had changed from white to green. Wondering if they've changed the formulation or brought in product from outside the UK to fill a shortfall (batch number started with a 3 instead of the 2 on previous containers I fished out the recycling). Either way, there's something in it my body doesn't like.

Have a family with a history of niggling allergies, hayfever, urticaria etc. and have used the M&S sensitive skin powder / liquid for quite a few years as it is unscented and doesn't seem to upset anyone. Tried another powder several years ago and eldest daughter came out in a nasty rash, which cleared when we started using the M&S powder again, so it means a regular trip to M&S to stock up. Just hope they don't change the formula or stop selling it.

Sensitivities can develop after previous satisfactory use, although with a different cap colour and batch type number it sounds like a different formulation. Try wearing gloves anyhow when you are using it as it will protect your skin from drying out etc.

some of the powders can be very strong and have lists of chemicals. I order mine on the net and use BioD, Ecover, Ecoleaf etc I find they wash just as well. I had to pinch some laundry liquid off my SIL last week. I honestly felt sick the artificial smell was so overwhelming and thinking she is putting these clothes on young children! I just think these harsh formulas and perfumes are not good.
