Still get done as oils not a road fuel
and the die is just a guid . if its black they do a quick on the spot comical test . You can not fool them . Its not worth it if you have a farm or business . If you live in a council house and have an old car , what have you to lose

Our local tractor dealer happily takes waste oil for the workshop heater or can take it to the council dump. Might be different turning up with 1000l tho

Similar here with our local farm engineering business, they're happy as they have a waste oil burner. I'm surprised more farm work-shops don't have one as I think they're great in the winter.

Im pretty sure the ever reaching EA legislation reached waste oil heating last year

Meaning i think you should have a permit for the omissions from it, I dont suppose thats as easy as it sounds either .
No dobt the heater needs a sevice contract and the emissions need a test certificate that in turns mean it probably going to cist you a couple of grand.

Just when you thought you where doing somthing good for the environment :scratchhead:

why not just burn it?
Black smoke.

Filter and reuse it.
There's a method I read about and want to try. Two tanks, one above the other. Waste oil in the top one, sheeps wool made into a rope and draped over the top of the top tank into the oil. It gets soaked up by the rope... Wicked? And then drips into the bottom tank. Think you mix a bit of new oil in with it for the anti foam properties.
