Waste plastic disposal in Kent

Have had notification that my local Agricycle depot is no longer going to be operating after the end of this month.

Just weighing up my options really.

What other (legal) disposal routes are available in Kent?

Seriously considering the skip route, which seems a shame, but if it's got a waste transfer note it's all that's required.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Oh they have actually gone under then? Is that Piper’s?
We have been waiting ages for Agri cycle to come to us up in Thanet. Ended up loading a 18tonne silage trailer full of cans and bags and taking to the isle of grain. £60 plus vat for a trailer load. Probably 36m2 worth maybe.
Will have a look for the name of the place.

they haven't gone under, just not viable to continue doing the waste plastic any longer.

Countrystyle (fgs) used them for their waste plastics.

Going to give some skip firms a call tomorrow.

Hi Mark
I struggled to find anywhere to recycle near me and unfortunately Andy didnt collect in time for me to have the paperwork for accs so I take to commercial tip at dover or sittingbourne - you get a ticket and it's around £60 for up to half a ton. Rachel

Hi Rachel,
I think the tip route is likely to be the cheapest option.
Just wondering if a skip might be useful to have here and have a good clear up at the same time.

I use Ian Kitson at Kitson Recycling, 07917101299, do everything with him now, bags, cans, silage plastic etc. He travels to our area, if you get a bin or two off him, need to pay for them, it does keep the place tidy.

Spoke to agricycle today and they will still be collecting from down here for the same cost apparently.

Update.
Just took samples to viridor in Ashford, only to find it burned down 18 months ago.
However, went into greenbox next door. No problem.
Take the lot, £150/t. Minimum 1 tonne.
Mixed waste, so other stuff can be in it too as long as non hazardous.
Just need a waste carriers licence to get in.
Could have a skip, but guess I'd need to compress the waste to get most use of it.
