Waste Tyre Disposal

I have approx 100 car tyres and a few tractor/lorry tyres to dispose of.

Has anyone any recommendations of companies they have used in the past please?

I have approached SITR, National Tyre and Credential Environmental so far.

Solaway recycling said they would take ours, not asked price yet as heard it’s not cheap.

You can't be a million miles from Fraser Evans at Minster Lovell. They recycle old tyres, I contacted them once about taking some of mine in, haven't got round to it yet, but its on the list. Its not cheap mind.....

was just thinking the other day why they don't use tyre to stop erosion or build flood defences Big Tractor rears strapped together and placed strategically.... have been tried and been very successful on river bank erosion but I guess they didn't look very 'nice' :rolleyes: so ea or rivers...

Last lot I delivered into SITR was £35/t. They made sure they were clean when I got there to get that price. Have paid up to £95/t in the past. That's for car tyres only.
