Water testing

Who does everyone use for water sampling for the red tractor farm assurance? Used to have the local council do it but they are getting a bit over the top and wanting to do a full assessment of the whole water system starting at the bore hole, the filters, pumps, tanks etc.

we get a sterile bottle from local hospital and take it to their labs for testing. costs about £20 iirc

Don't use borehole for the important bits and there is no link between your mains and borehole is there

Definitely no link between borehole and mains as that's about 3 miles away

Used these at work for the last inspection but the report was only just good enough apparantly, not enough detail on 'bug' numbers.

You're all lucky you can choose! We are told by council they are coming on such and such day and then we get a bill for the privilege but we need it for farm assurance anyway and at least its an official report.

used these for mine last month. You just need the £40 one not legionella @ £44.50 I had to do 2 because the first one failed. despite only being 3 months old my uv bulb had packed up without me knowing. Whole house went into meltdown to think there water had coliforms in!
