Web based customer database

Can anyone recommend a good web based customer database...preferably free!

I'm looking for a way of storing customer information, ie. names, addresses, contact info along with space to record notes of visits and their purchases/orders etc. It would be great if I could add maps and maybe even photos as well. It needs to be web based, possibly with an app so I can use it out and about on phone/ipad etc.

i'm sure there must be something suitable out there..there's loads similar on the net but I wouldnt mind hearing what others use and how they get on.

All I can suggest is google for "free crm" If you want to pay for one salesforce is good.

Microsoft One Note is good. I use it for my customers details, can have it on the phone, laptop etc updates through Cloud

CapsuleCRM or Highrise, neither are free

There's a lot out there.

You could probably use Trello but it's not a CRM as such.

Thanks for all the ideas. A colleague and I are now using Podio. Its free and so far I'm pretty impressed.
