Hello,
There's some increasingly warm and humid weather on the way, but the weekend will start off on a very dull note, with extensive low cloud. More sunshine by Sunday, although some showers in the south-west.
Next week is likely to see thunderstorms develop more widely thanks to a very humid air mass across the country.

High pressure to the north maintains an easterly drift. Very murky in the morning, extensive low cloud - foggy across hills to low levels. Dull skies will persist across the Midlands into Wales, but brighter skies should develop slowly from the east. Largely dry, but risk isolated heavy showers or local thunderstorms into afternoon and evening, mainly central areas.
Winds fairly light, N to NE or variable, locally W-NW around the south coast, 5 to 8kt (F2-F3), freshening to 10-12kt (low F4) around coasts where sea breezes form. The east coast may be commonly 10 to locally 15kt (F4) through the day. Northern Scotland NE 17 to 20kt (F5).
Top temperatures 18 to 23C, feeling humid. Cooler near the coasts, and where low cloud persists.

Slack high pressure remains across the country, centred north of Britain. Greater amounts of sunshine overall. Feeling rather humid, and there is a threat of thundery showers breaking out for Wales & the south-west into the afternoon and evening. North Sea coasts may see local fog patches.
Mainly light winds most areas, E or variable, 5 to 8kt, at times less (F2-F3), coastal sea breezes developing into afternoon, 10-13kt (F4).
Generally stronger winds around East Anglia and the south-east, E-NE 10 to 15kt (F4), risk locally nearer 20kt (F5) in Dover Strait.
Highs 21 to 24C central-western areas, but just 15 to 18C near east coast.
