thought we had done a verbal deal on some hay with the son , he did say he would check with his family , grass cut hay made so as it was three weeks after speaking and not hearing back so deal done as far as concerned so texted to ask when i could shift them.

This is where it gets interesting , the mother phones up ranting that leave her son alone , it was too cheep and is worth more blah blah being taken back i did say i dont mind if you think its worth more and i would take x amount later in the year of lesser stuff as its to feed cows , she said she would phone back the following day , she didnt.

I left it due to harvest phoned no reply so phoned on an unrecognised phone she picked up so i could see where this was going , shouted screamed and put the phone down but i never had chance to mention both calls after getting the impression i was going to be welched on i had with her were recorded with it clear as xmas that the x amount mentioned etc.

I really dont give a ??ck about the bales but lied too and welchd on i do so given the fact i have it clear as day whats been said by her i feel slighty peed off but in a position she should pay the amount i would have paid to charity , what would others do , thanks

Because the majority of Conservative Party members do - they think he'd make a good Prime Minister. Being 'English' isn't an insult, but if he gets to be PM it may feel like one.

On the OP, the complainant is being far too precious - these things happen, he hasn't lost anything, and has learned a valuable lesson very cheaply.

But that is not the way the world works.

Being realistic, perhaps you should have - and did, in reality - get the point when your calls went unanswered. Because using a third party phone suggests, to me, that you knew perfectly well what had happened. But you proceeded anyway, in order to confront them and make yourself feel superior to the other side? (It may very well be that you are morally superior to them - I would far prefer to deal with you than them - but surely you don't need us to confirm it to you?)

Dont understand , i merly ask how others would put it right as i am not one to name names as its probably one of the worst tricks to pull , put it this way its only a few bales but so what , same applies if it were several lorry loads , its welching

What would I do? I’d have a rant, much like you have, but probably to the long suffering Mrs NeilO rather than on here.

sounds like there might be a mental health problem there, probably best to write the deal off, stay clear in future and not antagonise the woman

Well I'm not far behind you, sold 120 ton of grain to a member and have only got half the money, think the grain will be muck by now.
Come to think of it sold some barley to another member last harvest and haven't been paid for that either, but he is at least local.

Actually - I would like to see more like him in Our government.
He may not be perfect, but at least he has the balls to actually say what the masses are thinking.
