There was I thinking this was exclusively a JD problem.
Seems then that the importance of roller clean must not be ignored. Another thing highlighted above is the change in the pull off the net roll as the net is used.

There is a flat plate of tin between the rollers the net feed into if that gets loose or damaged will not let net down to chamber took me ages to figure it out was packed with dirt no problem since cleaned it last season

sounds stupid but this was happening me with my 235 welger ( same net system i believe), now everytime i change a roll of net i put lots of baby powder on the net rollers, this doesnt allow the dust or sticky grass stick on the roller and wont roll the net around the rollers. Some farmers i go to bale for do laugh at me coming out of the tractor with baby powder :ROFLMAO:

Always seemed to happen when I had a welger when behind the net rollers got full of dust and stuff, good clean out with the airline seemed to sort it ! Never had to use talc on a welger the John Deere I used to have is a different story !
