We have always used talcum powder. Best thing u could use on net systems. Could be compared to using tyre paste to fit new tyres on rims. Can be done without but a whole lot handier with it.
Yes,but the point is Welger net systems have always just worked in the past,no talcumpowder required, why change it.We have always used talcum powder. Best thing u could use on net systems. It sounds to me that the spring tension holding the rollers together needs adjusted a bit probably slackenedYes,but the point is Welger net systems have always just worked in the past,no talcumpowder required, why change it.
I've always had welgers and used talcum powder from time to time. Not needed a lot but mostly in damp conditions with dryer grass if u know the stuff I mean. Just takes the stickyness off the rollers.Yes,but the point is Welger net systems have always just worked in the past,no talcumpowder required, why change it.
If the rollers dont get dried right before dust hits it can be a bigger problem than not washing them. Would need to blow down baler first. Not that keen on washing the baler at all especially in and around the net rollers as the bearings in there can't be greasedI powerwash the rollers when i get home after working amongst sticky grass. Stops it going round rollers.
Bought a new foam tube last year, got billed £72 I think! Absolute pisstake
You are so correct welgar have lost there marbles they had the best baler on the market and they have fu@ked it with cheap bearings /parts ect even our dealer says this. Such a pity as i was a massive welgar fan but after 3x 245s and endless bearing problems im off to try a Mchale only heard good things about them so i will give one a goI knew someone would say that, why on a new baler that should have a bombproof netwrap system proven over many years should I have to resort to that, penny pinching accountants looking for cheaper options and messing with an excellent design, that is the problem!,not good enough on a 25k machine.
A can of Cola was what reps use to carry to deep clean the rubber rollers at one time.I powerwash the rollers when i get home after working amongst sticky grass. Stops it going round rollers.

Strange! I'd have imagined that to be even stickier. It's pollen seems to be worst for making them sticky.A can of Cola was what reps use to carry to deep clean the rubber rollers at one time.
BEARINGS? Can you not read post.interesting... what problems are you having with your new welger balers?
It's the cleaning agents in Cola that clean the rubberStrange! I'd have imagined that to be even stickier. It's pollen seems to be worst for making them sticky.
I know, very disappointing, nothing to stop the machine working but enough to stop me buying another.I never thought I'd hear a bad word from you on Lely machines!!!
Next I will i see a post from Dr Dunc moaning about Deutz tractors?????
