I have a "no pressure increase" warning when baling. I am told that the acuumulator probably needs recharging. Can anyone tell me how this is done? Are they charged with gas or hydraulic fluid?
Also, any idea what pressure they should be charged at?
Any info will help, thank you.

Are there any leaks around the density pipework on the tail door?
Its likely the system has lost charge and needs re-filled with oil.
Does the manual pressure gauge rise at all on the baler?

Hi, there are no visible leaks, all pipework is dry.
Yes, the pressure needle does rise and occasionally the warning will stop as the needle raises.
I notice that there is another accumulator behind the right hand door, when looking at the baler from the front. No leaks there either.

Had ours done 8-10 years ago (so can't remember exactly how it was done).
It's really a dealer job as you have to pipe the system up to the tractor hydraulics in a different way to charge it up (they had to get their manual out to find how to do it) IIRC, they put a pressure gauge onto that fitting (under the plastic screw cover ) near the pressure adjuster.
Shouldn't be too expensive - only takes about half an hour.

I had that error increasingly often on my 520. A recharge (dealer mech job really, as he has the fittings/experience) helped for a while, but not for long. The pressure transducer was the issue. There is an upgrade, but it's several hundred quid. I just turned the handle over and ran it in manual. Only slight issue was that you couldn't open the door fully when empty (e.g to swap the catch to slacken the belts) without turning the handle over.

Edit: I wonder did I have to go into settings to tell it to ignore the transducer?

Thanks for the reply. So when you ran it in manual, did you just have to watch the gauge and manually net the bales when you got to the size you needed?

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
