Welsh hill flock draft ewes

Any suggestions where to purchase welsh hill flock draft ewes this autumn. Had a few sent last year and they've done well but would like to buy for myself really..cheers.

One of my mates buys fair ewes out of Ruthin & Douglleu (if that's how you spell it) never look over dear for nice ewes to get 1/2 crops out of

Yes. Nice four yr old Welsh ewes mid £60's and Welsh full mouth early £50's.

Came from that part of world ... I'd go Ruthin (Rhuthun !!) or Dolgellau , depending on your location . If you want a slightly stronger type of ewe , then look at a (more) Mid-Wales type ..... loads of draft ewes and loads of 'types' within the Welsh ...... I used to use a Nelson (South Wales Mountain) ram on N.Wales mountain ewes ..... Wool like wire , bigger , but cracking sheep ! Bet you are now totally confused.com !!!!!!

Used to buy a lot at a draft sale here Dinas Mawddwy ,but cant find if it's still going . Few flock owners had a sale in a big field, very healthy sheep . Show how bad things were at the time I bought 750 drafts for £2-50 average. Lot of them youngish ewes

The sale at Dinas Mawddwy stopped many years ago, those ewes go to Dolgellau now with the bulk going in the 3rd and 4th breeding ewe sales.
