This is rather short notice and I apologise. Do please share across the industry within Wales.

Fflur Sheppard from Beattie Communications, Holly Beckett on Growing people, Corinna Lloyd Jones on managing them, a great piece on cybercrime by the Police (comes personally recommended) and yours truly with the Agrisgôp group of Women who went to meet Lesley Griffiths amongst other things.

Guess they need to get people to their meetings ,or they might just have to get off the gravy train! Think us menfolk have had enough of them, even the grants for the overpriced training here in Wales is being cut! Forgot, some men will attend their meetings once to register for the capital grants;) but capital creamed off our single farm payment!

Since when has farming been that sexist that women did t feel included. I've had untold amounts of emails about this and I'm a bloke! Even the missus has one but she doesn't even work in the agriculture industry. One big rip off these schemes

Many women feel more comfortable at a women only event. For a variety of reasons.

To discount their feelings and say having their own separate functions are rip offs.... well that's a tad bit sexist!

That's as may be but can you imagine men saying they wanted male only meetings because they felt more comfortable at men only events.
I grew up watching the Flintstones and The Red Green Show. Men's clubs are still just as alive and well and nothing wrong with them.

And why shouldn't men have areas where they can feel the most comfortable? I see situations weekly working in a male dominated environment where someone will say something and then realize I'm there and will feel uncomfortable about it. Then there's the whole "locker room" talk thing.

Nothing wrong with either sex having areas and events that are comfortable. However areas of comfort shouldn't be synonymous with areas of derision and discrimination.

I had misguided views about a 'womens' group too before I started working with one. It's not about wanting equal rights. It's about celebrating our strengths and applying a female attitude to problems and challenges. When something needs organising, women generally just get on and do it rather wait to see if someone else will.

The big difference I see is the level of support and magnamity amongst women. There is a strong sense of seeing how we can take people up rather than down plus the humour is different.

BPS is not going to stay forever. Even if it was there are many farms that simply aren't financially viable in the foreseeable future should it decrease. This forum is just one way to reach out and engage a sector bringing them into the conversation about all our futures.

.
I would agree with that 110%. Im not a fan of all this equal rights bulls**t, in my experience women look at things and do things different to men but there isn't nothing they can't do, they might just do it differently.
