got a 8 tonne west grain trailer with the floor gone, what plate would you use, thinking of getting it folded and drop it in and weld her up , a new eye has been ordered and maybe a coat of paint if im feeling generous !!

I replaced the front half of the floor in the 8te Griffiths with normal 4mm plate. It’s now rusting and coming off in thin layers, even though the original back section isn’t. I can’t think of any particular reason for this and am just waiting for it to go through again

all over paint !! was going to paint fresh steel with grey oxide !! give it a whole job , wheels and all , as got light and brakes , quoted £84 for 4 mm 8x4 from local steel merchant, and he can bend it to shape as well ! ordered new puh hook £23.90 off ebay 16 tonnerMaybe a coat of paint!!!???
If the floor has gone probably the cross members are not too good either
