western power access for repairs

had a visit and survey done last year on the pylons here and they need some repairs.
now I'm not going to stop them access but I want it on my terms as there's crops in some fields
last time they installed a line of poles things were agreed then they did things differently:sour: so left with bitter feelings this time
they are organising a visit next week with the contractors

Unfortunately I think the nearest you’ll get to ‘your tetms’ Is a good agent who gets full and proper compensation for you.

Not western power but Scottish power, a couple of weeks ago they had about a dozen vehicles in a field of wheat not far from here which was about ready for combining weather permitting. Problem is, if they trampled an acre of crop the cost of compensation would probably still be small in comparison to the cost of the job especially if it was deemed urgent

Western power did pylon work for my father in law. He got a tidy payment through an agent but they did a terrible job reinstating. He really should have have pushed them for either more money or got them back to do a proper job reinstating!

Or more to the point, the agent should have got them back or hit them for more compo, after all that’s what they’re being paid to do, look after the farmers interests.
