I won £75 on a Premium Bond a long time ago.

I have won various prizes at raffles, a night at Stratford Theatre with a meal was good (disappointed to see that most people dressed down, when I went with my parents as a teenager everyone was in their best clothes).

Raffles... Bottle of Wine , Bottle Scotch that kind of thing loads of useless tat from buying raffles for local clubs & groups etc.

Do a couple of Football bets of a weekend. They tend to be good for a couple of hundred a month.

Best was £3800 on Serie A & Copa Libertadores games a few years back. Nowhere near that since.

Are you lucky in raffles or competitions?

Couple of bottles of wine at a village show & 4 numbers on the lottery (got me £64)
2 sets of 3 numbers on a rolldown lottery got me £218. 4 numbers three times.A few bottles of wine(OK) whiskey(hate the stuff,so give it away). One night B and B in a very good quality hotel in the Lake District.

I’m not a betting man but I was watching the grid of a MotoGP race, cal crutchlow was interviewed and was the only one on the grid with medium tyres, all the rest on soft, I instantly thought he will win as the race will come to him. Quickly joined a betting site and put £10 on him, won £360, withdrew £350 and have been using the original £10 since on the odd bet

Late 60s or early 70s I was lucky if I'd £5 for myself on pay day after tax and board to mum.
Friday night in the pub we played cards, for pennies or matches nothing serious, one particular night a young chap came in and started throwing his money about and I ended up taking £4 off him, just after this a stag party came in, we were playing three card brag at the time, so they asked to join the game, I was dealt 3 queens right from the start, betting started around 10p and quickly got to 50p then a £1, playing with the big boys now any way the £8 I had was soon in the pot, went to the landlady and showed her my cards and she backed me with a tenner, ended up winning almost £50, following sat afternoon my numbers came up on the local football draw £16, on the sunday evening we played all fours in the Conservative club until 9 o Clock when all games ceased, usually headed home, but for whatever reason that night I stayed a little longer, sat night and sun night they held a members draw, but you had to be present to collect, it was a fiver a week, but hadn't been won for a few weeks, £70, thank you nicely.

All in all a good 48 hours.
