What are these grease fittings

Can anyone help me with these grease fittings, they are for track tensioning on a Volvo/pel job digger, can't find any in this size and our local stores don't have them in this size just smaller ones TIA

Can you screw a normal nipple in where that came out of,or drill and tap for a nipple to go in end of that fitting.on my Volvo there is like a largish bolt with a hole through middle which nipple screws into.all my diggers have been like this over last 20 years including 4 Volvo and a case

Not much help but Dad had that style on a Foden years ago. The idea was good at it locked on the adapter much more positively than conventional nipple system. Not seen it since.

ERF, Foden., Leyland trucks all used it years ago until the advent of autolube.

Then one of these and screw an ordinary nipple in to it, and you've got an adaptor.

ERF had autolube except for the propshaft, so I made the above adaptor which was very handy because of the swivel joint.
