Anybody got or seen the eifel tower model yet? I was in the lego shop in Dublin last week and they had it built there it looks amazing but very bulky to display.

Little lad had a result last week.:cool:
While helping mum take some stuff to the Red Cross charity shop he spotted a Lego Saturn V set in there for £20.
He knew that they were about £120-130 new so got mum to buy it for him.

And to my astonishment it's all there too, thick end of 2000 bits I think he said.
Stands over a metre tall.
Not technics or fancy but he's well chuffed, with his "bargain" 😂😂

Been building this in my spare time. Apart from the wheels and tyres which are new, it’s built from 1970/80’s technic Lego, so all old school, rack and pinions, cogs and ratchets.
I was quite pleased with it. It’s got a three speed gearbox, 2 cylinder engine, 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel or 2 wheel or crab steer. The boom winds up with rack and pinion mechanism and extends and has a tilt.

Did you have a plan or design it yourself?

Did it myself just from looking at the farm jcb telehandler. I used to build loads of Lego technic as a kid in the 1980’s, and just got it out of the loft at Xmas to have a go at something. Literally only the wheels and tyres are modern Lego.

I used to make a lot of models myself when younger, copied all the farms kit, had a working Dowdeswell swing over front press, had to break a lego rule and cut an axle to length to get the pivot to work ok.
