What is this gravel?

A few tonnes of gravel have been dumped locally. Can anyone identify it? Are the coloured bits contamination and, if so, of what? where would it have been removed from?

Nor do I want it! I suspect that's possibly how it got to be where it is. The owners are, how shall I put this, of a mobile type who were probably paid to take it away!
