What is this weed?

Can some kind person identify this weed for me? Looks like some sort of dock with anorexia and as you can see I have a lot of it in my grass! The dog is for scale and back ground. The soil is sand. Located near sea level in the north of Scotland.

Any worries about conserving in hay for livestock?

sorrel. We have lots in our hay meadows, never a problem. Preferred food for small copper caterpillars so hopefully you have some of those beauties about.

Dog, prominent in all fields with a foot path, a big issue if there are livestock in the field. They are also likely to leave a variety of nasty problems behind , ranging from little blue bags hanging in hedgerows to neospora and tapeworm.
Best sorted with a minimal dose of lead at high velocity
