What size lambing pens

I generally have a quarter of what I need until about midnight, then as I lamb my partner builds more, will it change this year? No, part of lambing tradition!! Lamb 900 ewe lambs doubt we have more than 70/80, out for four or five hours a day but in the rest. What lambs out ok and sucks stays out, but also weather tends to be better as lamb bit later and hopefully grass, so if suckled and its dry there out asap

We always argue over ours which are 3'3 x 5. I think is too small so I double pen to 6'6 x 5. Then get shouted down. Always bigger for triplets & quads. Is there any minimum size for welfare?

I use the solway pens. I think 5x5 very good pens but expensive but should last a long time. We have 42 pens for 350 ewes

I thought I had just enough pens this year, until about 12 ewes decided to lamb in two days in spells of torrential rain. Would just have the last, final, make shift pallet and trailer side pen made when another bitch would be over on her side popping a set of twins out

That wasn't fun.
