Some exotic rat spread disease could be the next big issue.

How can such a ban be enforced, other than that done by professional rodent controllers?
Anybody can legally purchase, and use, rat poisons, albeit in smaller quantities than us Pros.

The Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949 requires land owners and occupiers to keep their land free from rats and mice. Enforced by Wiltshire Council in this case. The sooner someone reports an infestation of rats on Bradford on Avon council land the better. That way we find out how the virtue signalling one step thinkers posing as councillors intend to meet their obligations under the law without using poisons Perhaps Packham will advise?

Maybe they will issue ‘humane rat traps ‘ and release the critters in a neighbouring county?
In which case they’d better hope they’re not ‘homing’ rats. 🙄
