Our tmr mix works very well on cattle indoors, but feel that it not best for feeding at grass. Need too feed from aug on wards too get cattle away before Christmas on the best trade. So what tmr mix do you find works best at grass?

Been thinking of this myself for this summer so keen to hear replies. Was thinking possibly wholecrop wheat or possibly maize silage as a forage source to complement grass and then include barley at a level to give a desired daily intake. What does your indoor mix consist of?

You would be better off putting them indoors when you need to start feeding them!

As it sounds you will be feeding one ration when they are out then changing them overnight to another ration when you bring them in and that's not ideal for cattle you are pushing hard to fhinsh in the next few weeks!
