What would this blend cost roughly

So on 100 cows would that be 4 bulls with 1 day on 3 days rest each or just chuck them all in
I’d guess 1 bull in at a time but I’ve never done it myself, just from what I’ve heard others say in our discussion group, suppose a fertility test on them wouldn’t go a miss either. Some of the bigger spring calvers here run a sizeable team just to sweep up. 1 bull to 50 cows maybe.

See once i kinda get to where im wanting to be the plan is to get plenty of heifers each year and whatever of them and the cows dont calf in time sell them as fresh calved when they do calve if clear of tb, if closed be more harsh with culls and run what i can feed over summer. Its the getting to where i want to be is the big challenge between coming from an ayr calving and trying to increase numbers at the same time

How are you sourcing heifers if you’re using bulls? Guess all these bulls are beefers?

No got 2 bf bulls and then have angus,limo and 2 char bulls for the suckers that i coukd get for a bit to help out if needs be. Plenty of heifers available from dealers from the south, either irish heifers or dutch bred
