Got a large bunch of rams and just starting to get some headfly issues , interestingly the balder headed rams are ok , brought one back this morning with very swollen head (right down over his eyes ) for some shed respite , I did all the rest with a quick squirt of crovect though this wont last more than a week or two just wondered what else to use , will spot on last a month or so if we get some rain ? the horse people around here use citronella but thats a daily treatment

I use 1ml of Spot-On/Spotinor on their poll, which seems to work well. I reckon it's waning after about a month, so reapply if there are lots of flies about still.

I don't find they seem to bother the Texel or Highlander sheep, just the cleaner headed ones, and worse in certain fields (by streams).

Not sure if MVF do their own version now as well?:scratchhead:

Clikzin or septiclense spray if it’s been knocked.. the swollen head could be meningitis or pneumonia (or another thing that I can’t think the name of at the moment) - betamox la usually sorts this quick enough.
