What's in your lambing bag? Plus general lambing supplies

It's like deja vu, all over again :)

Going to have some:

Twin lamb remedy,
Calciject,
Needles and Syringes,
Jab for anything that needs handling,
Lube,
Lambing rope or wire,
Tags and tagger,
Rings and ringer,
Spray marker,
Lamb macs in case of bad weather.

I'm unsure whether I'll get Spectam this year or not.

I have some iodine left over from last year. Seeing as all lambs will be born outdoors I won't really be using it, except on anything newborn I may have to house.

I won't use the vast majority of that stuff, but I like to be looking at something rather than looking for something at lambing time. It's always when I need something I discover the local suppliers are cleaned out.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, I have the knife, rifle and whiskey here :D

like to turn my self in to abit of a walking lambing machine. first off get kitted out with some Strauss bib &brace trousers, the ones with millions of pockets. in these I carry small bottle of iodine, gloves, general knife, sharp skinning knife, multitool, marker stick, thermometer, pencil paper, "Dave's special lambing spoon" & of course baler cord. word of warning careful of how you sit down in regard to the iodine bottle- a leg covered in iodine is painful!!
then when I'm walking round the ewes& lambs I use a cartridge bag in which I carry alamycin for most things, pen&strep for joint ill, metacam also for joint ill (anti inflammatory), blue spray, needles&syringes. plus various other random stuff that I can't remember at the mo. if I can deal with a problem early in the field I do.
