My son had one in his garden in London, best part of 40 foot high and 12 inch trunk.
Needed a tree surgeon to bring it back to a sensible size ( for its location).
Even I did not want to tackle it

I tend to flick them out with a land rake on the digger, roots come out easily

Trigger spray bottle full of roundup, as soon as you cut them spray the stumps

They have fields of it like vines at Belvior (Beaver!) Farms to make the cordial. Mrs WB has a recipe which is very good but we were not sure how to store it!! I asked at the game fair when it was at the castle and discovered they have large freezers to store in so that they can supply year round!.
