When/How to escalate?

I was docked the greening element (+penalty) of 2018 BPS due to having declared no EFA. I didn't as I believe I met one of the exemptions. I raised an email query in early December 2018, as soon as the statement arrived. I ring every couple of months, they say it's with the relevant team who will contact me if they need more info. How long is reasonable and how do you escalate? I've heard FCN mentioned, but thought they had more valuable work to perform, but maybe the people they help are leapfrogging me.

I can just imagine the RPA announcing that 2018 is going to be the reference year for de-linked BPS and being screwed through to the end.

I would email them every day , hopefully it will pee them off enough to get it sorted to shut you up! That was the only way I got my balance of 2018 mid tier money last week. Every time you send an email it goes on your file

I'm worried that gives you a mark by your name

Good morning, in my experience these payment queries are processed faster than yours has been. Did you complete the payment query form or did you just send an email in? I would be happy to take a look for you if it would help.

Update. After raising a complaint about lack of response in March, got a message saying they'd done a re-calculation in May, but no more info or explanation.

Roll on last week when £6k arrives in bank :) Updated claim statement comes in yesterday, now correct. Obviously the apology and interest payment will come in a separate correspondence.

Result !!! , no farmer should have to endure that sort of delay 6 k might not be a huge amount these days but its big enough if you have somebody on the doorstep looking for it !!! Good that you got sorted .
