When to shear rams for August/September sales

Usually about mid-May here, about when it warms up enough so that they can be left out straight away.

As above, if you are intending trimming, etc then around now. I do know of a few that used to sell at Kelso that never did shear them though, just back them out about now, then trim pre-sale to make them look ridiculously wide. Purchasers no doubt had a shock when they saw them after shearing.🤐
