Where are all the flies ?

When is early?
And when do you normally start seeing flies?
Would expect to see them by now. Only dosed 10 days ago but would normally wait to there fairly bad with cos mobbing before doing anything.

We have cleaned out all loose house sheds far quicker this season. Perhaps they had less areas to breed ?

We've had the odd bad day, but not many. Yesterday was bad and I was thinking I'll have to Stockholm Tar the heifers but there's nothing about today :scratchhead:

just trying to get a handle on whether our early application of spot on has helped or has the Driyish winter down here meant the flies simply aren’t about yet.
No,they’re just hiding, ready to bite in August!
Actually I was thinking about the lack of flies recently,we haven’t used any fly control for years here, maybe advantageous living on a hill, the wind blows most days.

Think I’ll spot on them come Monday, last year we had no flies at all, summer of 17 was a nightmare.

Low burden year here, at the moment anyway:nailbiting:.

I'm in the start early with spot on* club.
Has just occurred to me, I wonder if that advice comes from spot on* itself though:D.

*Other repellents are available..
