My free year finished where/who do I contact for renewal? Is it a standard price everywhere?

What are my other options, Centrepoint RTX?

Contact your dealer or you can do it on Trimble's website.

Your display needs to be unlocked for Omnistar corrections to use Centrepoint RTX.

Rangepoint rtx gone up slightly to £250 / yr + vat. Get it from who activated your free year. If you did it yourself then they will email you the form or as above go through a dealer/trimble. All same price, though i think.

If you got your original free 12 Months Trimble RangePoint RTX subscription through ourselves we can organise a renewal if needed, the current annual cost for renewal is £250.00 ex VAT.

To use Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction your Trimble display or receiver needs to be unlocked to OmniSTAR XP/HP correction as mentioned above.

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction (3.8 cm pass-to-pass accuracy) would be accurate enough for drilling, the current annual subscription cost for this is £995.00 ex VAT.

With Trimble owning the ground rights to Omnistar, will range point be released to non Trimble hardware?

Good question, you would need to speak with Trimble correction services on this one.

At the moment Trimble RangePoint RTX correction is only available on Trimble displays and receivers, this gives Trimble a competitive advantage by being able to offer a range of different accuracy correction services on their latest products which are not available on other products. Things change.

What's the difference from range point and center point Rtx ???
Trimble RangePoint RTX correction & Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction are two different types of satellite subscription services for the Trimble CFX-750 display, Trimble FmX integrated display, Trimble TMX-2050 display and Trimble AG-372 GNSS receiver which use both GPS and GLONASS satellites to increase accuracy and coverage.

Trimble RangePoint RTX correction (15 cm pass-to-pass accuracy) is a broadacre based correction service suitable for cultivations, fertiliser spreading, mowing and spraying applications.

Trimble RangePoint RTX correction is currently available as a 12 month subscription at a cost of £250.00 ex VAT and comes free for a year on all new Trimble displays & receivers.

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction (3.8 cm pass-to-pass accuracy) is a higher accuracy correction service suitable for both broadacre and drilling applications.

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction is currently available as a 12 month subscription at a cost of £995.00 ex VAT. All Trimble displays & receivers do need to be unlocked to OmniSTAR XP/HP level to receive Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction.

Centerpoint is way over priced when you consider an RTK network cost range from £500-£650 a year, I know there is more unlock and hardware costs in rtk setup

unlocks and radio will cost you about £5000, then you have to have a mast close enough to you, or you have to buy a modem for another £1500. so Centrepoint is viable for some who don't want the large initial outlay (You'd be surprised how many don't' want that outlay)

Also a useful option for contractors covering large areas with patchy RTK coverage.

Although hardware costs for RTK correction are more expensive than for Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction, if you can access an RTK correction from a large RTK network, such as from RTK Farming Ltd for around £500.00 per year, subscription costs for RTK correction would be cheaper in the long run compared to Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction.

Trimble CenterPoint RTX correction is a good option for contractors who do not have RTK coverage as mentioned.

We've been using Rangepoint for the last 2 years on one of our two 750's and I really like it. Tramlines measure 24m without any visible skips in the drilling, except for the OSR where we hadn't twigged the signal license had run out and the 750 had reverted back to EGNOS.

I can see why Trimble have pitched the Centerpoint subscription so high, but on a small farm (we're 435 acres of arable) it doesn't work out financially.
As it is, we had been planning on buying Rangepoint for both 750's for this year but it looks like the corporate attitude of 'bait and switch' MAY (***) be coming in to play. First year free, 2nd year £220, 3rd year £250, 4th year "whatever we think you can afford". Not quite the same as a Heroin dealer at the school gates.
If it does start to creep up then we will revert back to EGNOS on the 2nd (cultivation only) unit.

*** - I should add, that last summer our local franchised Trimble dealer (NOT AS Comms) was asking £250 for the license, but Trimble themselves were only asking £220. I'm guessing that there was an 'admin fee' being levied...

Great technology though, wouldn't want to be without it.

Not sure RTK would be that cheap unless the local farmer was keen to offer the same price of mast correction signal for a number of years.Thats not the case round here!
Its a shame Centrepoint RTX is so expensive, it would be the best compromise for many with far flung bits of land.

For far flung bits of land EssentialsNet is an RTK service at £750 for your first unit and £650 for your second. Have to have RTK unlocks etc so capital is more than Centerpoint but running costs are lower. Coverage is almost any arable part of UK. Pretty much colour blind as to which system it will work on.
