Where have all the worms gone!

Tried to put a fire break in around the farm buildings. Couldn’t do it. Tractor just sat there spinning. I looked at the boulder that I dug up. And no worms at a massive depth.

Worms will follow the moisture, they will still be there. Not seeing many wasps, green or black aphid....but I bet the flea beetle will be laid up just waiting for the emerging rape plants

There was a zoom lecture about worms in the soil during Covid. The time to count your worms is when the soil is damp. I hope they have buried themselves further down.

Pretty amazing when you see them. They engineer the wall of the pit at a special angle, flick dirt up at anything that falls in then pounce. Some are venomous. Glad I'm not an ant!

The dog came back with a dead mole the other day it’s definitely not clever enough to of caught it alive.
