In need of laptop, doesn't need to be suoer high spec, no gaming etc. Has anyone reccomendations of where to buy one, not keen of currys/ pc world etc as they always come pre loaded with a load of crap you don't want. Got last coupe of desktops from dino pc, which was great as ypu could spec what you wanted and they only came with windows installed and thats it. Unfortunatly last experience of them wasn't good.

I'm looking to buy a Lenovo duet for my daughter, I'm thinking a chromebook would be more resistant to being fudged up than a Windows or Mac machine?

Lenovo make some delicious 2 in 1 machines though, the yoga range look utterly ace.

I had a Yoga - it was a bit fragile for the amount I moved around - very bad idea for kids imo. Did look good mind.

I'm probably going to buy an MS Surface Go 2 next year for myself, I'm thinking the reduced size and weight will fit in my bag and be portable and wieldy enough to take around with me whilst not being intrusive like a laptop. Still have to shell out £500 and that's before a keyboard and pen are included!

Got mine from Currys and just uninstalled any crap I didn't want. Can't remember there being a right lot anyway.
Had it about a year now and quite happy with it, would buy from there again and I am no great fan of theirs. Just use them for price really. It is a basic lower end of the range laptop, can't remember exact price but £300 ish.

Is it a 'homemade' one or a big brand machine?
Edit, sorry it's a laptop so must be a branded machine. Shops don't tend to build laptops [slap myself on wrist… ouch]
