Seaburn is the posh end apparently, or that’s what the mrs tells me. That’s where she is from 😂

Nowt wrong with English weather! 😓

Switzerland

Some updates on the consequences of last night's weather:
for all those who are traveling by car: almost all passes are closed due to landslides, affected are: Furka-, Gotthard-, Grimsel-, Lukmanier-, Pragel-, San Bernardino-, Simplon- and Umbrailpass.
If you are planning to drive over one of these passes, please check the current status.

Ticino and Valais have been badly affected, the Maggia Valley in Ticino is currently partially cut off and can no longer be visited as bridges have been swept away.
In Valais, trains may be delayed as the River Rhone has burst its banks and flooded both highways and tracks.
Zermatt is once again separated from the rest of Switzerland as the feeder road and the railroad line are flooded.
If you are here, please be patient and follow the instructions of the rescue services/railway staff etc. Avoid proximity to rivers and lakes, especially in the Alps.
It is understandable that these events are not part of a nice vacation, but unfortunately, they cannot be controlled and the local emergency services as well as the SBB do their best not to put people in danger.
I sincerely hope that this was my last storm update for this summer. People are missing again and many roads, buildings/ homes and structures have been destroyed

Most on here were born extremely lucky just in the very essence of what we do and where we live, sometimes it's not all about money,

Half the country is now turning into a third world country.
Roads like Beruit, rubbish everywhere, people fat as pigs. No pride in their appearance.
When you see the difference in the last 20 years then fuk knows when it’ll be like in the next 20
Agree 100%, the uk is a fuking embarrassment, and the minority of clean living hard working folk are taxed to death ………… the country is dirty disgrace ..

Drove into Lincoln to pick the Mrs up. Went through an Estate. Lots of people hanging about in tracksuits with hoods up and round their faces in the heat. Are they not wanting to be identified by cameras? They walk across in front of you without a care expecting you to give way. Glad to get back out again. I don’t know what the future holds but occurred to me that any government who tried to tell it as it is, or say how it’s going to be will likely need to be prepared for a large amount of disorder. I could see the authorities losing control of some areas which has already happened in a quiet way by default.

Everyone knows that but far too many clamour for more foreign aid, aid to Ukraine, support of America where ever they pick a fight, ever more immigration, there’s only so much money so if you spend it elsewhere don’t be surprised if it’s not spent here!

Yes i was always brought up that charity begins at home and giving money away is no good … the old saying give a man a fish feed him one meal , teach him to fish feed him for ever …. So many policymakers are just utter arseholes .
