Which auto welding helmet??

Brace yourself, there'll be a load of people saying speed glass etc that possibly are the best for every day welders but are ££££. I have a gys with the big screen which is a big advantage I think. Rtech look a good buy

i always made do with cheap ones neede to get another for car welding /finer work ,and eyesite has failed a bit laterly, so back in their spring summer offers i got one from them this one
i like it comfortable to wear good to see out of but i now keep indoors in the warm when not using.

Paying a bit more gets you a decent field of vision.
I have a Parweld one, and it's pretty good, and not much dearer than some of the real rubbish out there.

Unless you have really good ventilation system pulling all the welding gasses away from you, then I would recommend an air fed helmet.

I was feeling very shitty after a bit of welding one day and annoyed enough to say sod the cost. I now have an esab A40 air and am very pleased with it. The visibility while welding was also a noticeable improvement over the cheap auto helmets I had been using.
