Which Breaker?

I have some alterations to do in a shed which consists of taking up an 8 ft x 90 ft strip of concrete. I need a breaker to do the job. I’ve only used the big air compressor ones in the past off Airhire. They are mainly hydraulic ones on offer now but I’ve seen 110 volt ones for sale too. I haven’t used any of these machines which ones are any good?

For that amount of concrete I`d be inclined to hire someone in with a pecker on a back actor.

Just priced a mini digger without breaker £60 day self drive breaker won’t add much

If the existing concrete has rebar mesh in it ,,a machine breaker is your go to tool ,,you wont get anything done with an electric that thickness

Just plain concrete no reinforcing

Its still a big area to tackle with a hand use tool ,,Ive got a Hilti TE1000 and half an hour Im pleased to put it down ,,to much use can give you nerve damage ,,White Finger as its known ,,although modern breakers have anti vibration built in ,,they are ok for short periods but your arms soon start to ache

A hydraulic breaker pack would do it but again ,,give your hands a rest

a 1.5 with a pecker ,,punch it enough to crack it and not lift it ,,work a good size area ,drop the pecker of ,bucket on and dig it out from where you started

If you've enough room hire a 5 tonner with pecker. Be way faster than messing about with a 1.5 ton machine.

There will be a hell of a difference between a 1.5 tonner with a pecker and an RB 1

Buy an old set of forks for your telescopic and cut them down to 8 inches long
Get underneath the edgeand just break it off

I don’t think it would do it. It’s been built like Sellafield

That’s because I hadn’t melted any up then for a test. Just had a peep into it this morning. Looks like RMC
