I knew those " spring is just round the corner " posts a month ago would come back to haunt us.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
When will people ever learn.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

My grandfather called that weather ‘a pet’

People lose their minds the first signs of weather, I know a man who through out baby calves onto albeit a good cover of grass only to let have them come in again looking like a wet rug thrown over an iron gate.

Some savings with that.

All anyone can do is work with the weather at the time. I’m still happy I put a bag/ acre on early, as my crops are green, whereby a neighbours that had nothing is yellow and loosing tillers. If it keeps wet for another few weeks , then your playing serious catchup.
It’s like feeding livestock, no good trying to feed a scrawny weanling, that’s been hard done as a calf. Little and often is the best way.

I would have gone ballast rolling on grass this afternoon, just didn't get round to it, drains have trickled for a few days once this winter.

I am being careful what I wish for.
