My pea barley whole crop has gone too advanced, grains hardened quicker than I thought, what are my options, homendry or just wait to combine, anything else?

Alkalage, if you have grass to cut it’s doable. It’s like wholecrop but dry but you need to put freshly cut grass ontop for 2-3’ to consolidate it properly and stop vermin and don’t worry about the effluent as the straw will take it in. The mill has got to be set seriously close on alkalage.

you could combine it for crimp but needs to be around 30%, treated with various products which any crimping contractor will know more about
