Looking to buy either a whole or a half lamb that is boxed up and butchered.

Would anyone be able to tell me "roughly"what you would be looking to get from an average sized lamb once it has been fully butchered???

And roughly what sort of price most people do this for??

Depending how it's cut up, you could expect something very roughly along these lines....
Say, 20/22kg d/w R3L
4 leg joints approx 7kg
4 shldr joints..."......6kg
28 chops..................4kg
Breast.....................1.2kg
Liver/kidneys..........1kg

Currently hoggs are 'on fire', so a live 42/45kg hogg will be £100 - £115 add on to that £25/30 for killing and cutting and vac packing and then some more for transport to kill and fetching meat back.
Hope that gives you a rough idea.

saleable av. 18kg lamb meat - minced the breast meat. To cover costs etc absolute min 140. Havent seen lamb put in vac pack around here they only bag which looks ok but doesn't stand around for long. From experience take deposits off people far too many time wasters who say they'll have it but when its arrived they explain there is no room in the freezer.

Do some research on line. Most people have done the work.
