Wholecrop clamp - bird deterrents

We are being tortured at the minute by large groups crows landing on the face of our wholecrop pit. Amazing how much they manage to tear out of the face of the clamp every day.

Thinking about trying some deterrents to try and keep them away. Unfortunately shooting isn’t really an option due to close proximity of neighbours house so I’d be looking at non lethal deterrents.

How successful are the likes of the hawk kites, the spinning balls with reflectors or even plastic birds of pray?

Most scare devices work for a few days but I would keep your money in your pocket.

Possibly the best thing would be to shoot 6 away from the neighbour and then hang the victims up around the pit. For some reason, this works for crows ..... pity starlings don't give a f**k about each other though

I'd say net the only option. I have same trouble and thought about a length of steel same width as pit with net hanging from it, that you can lift on and off when needed with loader.
