I cant imagine what harm being tested would do.. if there are positives then bring it on
I agree but what positives are there? Presume I get tested and I'm confirmed clear or I have had it and had no symptoms, then what?

NHS staff and admissions I'm with it ,
Watching the news today , everyone is rocking up ... if you've got it you'll know pretty sharp .
If you haven't got it what's the point .

? ... Yes and why not complain i refer you to my previous post. But hasn't most of the UK public been complaining about lack of testing?

There going try a data tracking style system on mobile, so if get sick people you know will get a text,? ... Yes and why not complain i refer you to my previous post.
Data i suppose, the more they have the better placed they are to understand the problem. Keeping those that are unaware that they have it locked down, relief for those that think they have it but are proved negative, Im sure theres more

Apparently well advanced are :
antigen test in 10 mins from saliva, test at home like a pregnancy test, UK / US partnership
antibody test , also fast turnaround, UK bio-company
Indications both 98% accurate
There are big problems this. It's going to be a downloadable app developed by a company involved questionable data use and collection during the referendum. So it's likely that people will not be that willing to have an app and be tracked by a company that may have ulterior motives. Singapore being a tech savvy nation is also using an app but only about 20% of the population has downloaded it and you really need >60%. Most of Europe looks like it is going to use the Google/Apple Covid tracking app so they can have cross border tractability, but it still remains the problem will people accept it..
There is one test that can show current and past infection, how accurate it is I dont know but that would be a game changerTrouble is when do you take the test. Supposing someone has had CV but is only 8 days from having it - there may not be sufficient antibodies in their system to show up on the test. It could give a false reading.
They said today you need 28 days after recovery to give plasma , presumably the same will go for the antigen test .Trouble is when do you take the test. Or Gordon Brown in Wales apparentlyAnother waste of money, think Corbyn is pulling the strings somewhere along the line.

There is one that does both, not sure how accurate it is thoughNo, antigen testing should be possible from the onset of the disease, antibody testing isn't.

Yes, it's probably possible to produce a rapid immunoassay test that does both. As you say the accuracy will be the problem. You could get all the vet labs involved and do it as an ELISA test instead, but it would slow the job up.There is one that does both, not sure how accurate it is though

Turned on the radio early last week and vine was on, normally would turn it over but he had a chap on who makes these tests vine took it via a drop of blood, not sure if they are widely available yetYes, it's probably possible to produce a rapid immunoassay test that does both.
