Why cant i post a photo on forum

I've tried in vain to post a photo I've taken but cant get it to work.
Samsung a3 I thought you just long press image get options and off you go .
But long press gets nothing no options to do anything .

What am.i missing thanks .

For a quick do it now Short term fix, email it to yourself, then upload to PC/ laptop device and save as a JPeG

Its because it's in a heic hobby.

Go to attach file tap by post reply tab ,select Gallery or file where your photo is and click on it.
Wait for it to be uploaded ,then click thumbnail or full image then Post reply.

Thanks for advice . Tech ok when it's simple and works . Seems everyone likes to make things more complicated than have to .
Why two formats ? Heic jpeg. Heard of jpeg but not the other .
