Wi-Fi booster/extender

Hello all,

Looking for some advic/recommendationse. I need a wi-fi extender which would throw signal from the kitchen window ledge out to the shed 20m away. Getting a calving/cctv camera installed on the grant scheme!

Thanks, Woolless.

similarly here we are having trouble maintaining a link of 100 metres with 7 camera on it. current point to point is only 2.4 ghz and supposed to be good for 300 metres, would 5 ghz be better?

5ghz would be faster but less forgiving if not clear line of sight.
If you have the right kit 2.4ghz would be fine for over kilometre

what would the right kit be. currently there is one connection wireless in the yard and it has never faulted but the one to the house 100 metres has to be reset every year and this year wont reset, fed up of it honestly

Couple of these would do it

Maybe overkill for only 20 metres
Have a chat with the support boys at Solwise, they may have a cheaper solution
I`ve no connection with this company, just find them helpful

Thinking about it some more, assuming your camera is WiFi ? One of those units would comfortably send a WiFi signal well over 20 metres from your kitchen outside wall to the shed. They function as a ) a wireless bridge to a similar unit - range can be in km.& b) as a WiFi transmitter / receiver. - range maybe 50 m.

Yes, camera is wi-fi so sounds like they are an option. Spoke briefly to the camera man yesterday, waiting on him getting back.
