Wide Roller Shutter Door

We have a fairly large sliding door at the moment, 9m wide 4.5 high they are in need of replacement and thinking about roller doors. It’s not facing the wind but would be fairly windy at times, any suggestions much appreciated

I was recently stood by some 6m wide doors in a brisk wind. They’ve not been up long and I wouldn’t put money on them lasting long either. I’m not sure anything 9m wide would cope with anything more than a breeze.
Yes I thought that might be the case. Have heard of people criss crossing ratchet straps, but I don’t think that would work on this width

Depends how often you would want to be opening & closing the door but would putting a socket in the middle of the doorway so you could drop a post in just behind the door stop it flexing too much if the wind blows? We’ve got a 6m x 6m door & would be in a windy position. I’ve parked the handler with 3 or 4 bales in the grab behind it before when we’ve had serious winds

Those hydraulic doors you see on some farms in America are good and can go very wide
That`s we have on the aircraft hanger
Only they are operated by a geared motor driving a full width shaft with 4 straps which wind onto the shaft as the motor turns it.
Works well 10m wide never lets any rain in and no flexing in the wind.
Just made by a guy at the airfield
