Just copying some similar threads I've seen started about other cereals, I'm curious to see oat variety choices from other growers.

When commenting, please could you indicate soil type and your region to reflect reasons for your choices.

We know we don't have ideal soils (shallow and light) for oats, but grow them as a valuable livestock feed and a useful rotation crop. We've grown Gerald for donkey's years, but may try something different this year - possibly Mascani or Southwark.

I look forward to your contributions.

Growing Coracle again. They stand well enough, yield well and this year weight 59tgw, last year sure it was mid fifties which is pretty good for shallower hilltop type soil
