Winter Oats!

Hello Farmers,
Does anyone have winter oat fields that I could use for crop safety trials? The size of the trials is between 0.15-0.2 hectares.
Preferred locations Oxon, Bucks, Northants, Warwicks. - but any other options will be considered.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Who is doing the spraying, and is the plot yield saleable?

The spraying will be done by me or one of my colleagues. As it is a crop safety trial, some treatments will have a higher dose rate than the recommended on the label, in this case, plots will need to be destroyed. In any case, generous compensation would be paid for the yield loss and for your time/help.

You might be interested in some trials work on crop safety of herbicides without approval on winter oats done by Arvalis in France. This resulted in the approval of Iodosulfuron on Oats.

Its discussed in the last article (approx ten pages) in this document, you are going to have to cope some french though!
